About Duro - Building Austin's Fitness Community Infrastructure

Logan Bell, Founder of Duro

Meet Logan Bell

I'm an entrepreneur who's crazy about bringing people together and bridging lifelong connections. After building multiple startups, I discovered my true passion: using technology to make human connection easier, not to replace it.

Duro was born from a simple observation: the most powerful fitness transformations happen in community, yet every platform was treating fitness like a transaction instead of a relationship.

I believe people join communities that are a reflection of who they are, not who they wish to be. When we create psychologically safe spaces where people can be authentic, magic happens.

Create Belonging Before Value

Start with identity integration—help people see themselves as part of something bigger. Focus on membership and shared identity first, not what they'll get out of it.

Design initiation rituals and welcome systems that make new members feel they truly belong. When people feel like they belong, everything else follows naturally.

Enable Member Advocacy

Give your most engaged members meaningful ways to influence and improve the community. When people feel they can shape something they care about, they naturally become advocates who refer others and create the organic growth flywheel.

Community building is about psychological infrastructure, not just event coordination—creating systems that turn members into passionate champions.
